A fresh chapter was recently written in the DATA.BET chronicles. One that represented a new beginning and a bold step into the competitive world of sports betting.

This new addition sees a sportsbook solution join esports and virtuals in the company’s portfolio, via an offering that covers over 50,000 sporting events per month, and features more than 63 pre-match and 38 live sports, along with 1000+ available markets.

Following this, CEO, Yurii Berest, elaborates on just why the strategic decision was made, how they plan to soar to the summit of such a congested environment, developmental challenges overcome and what could be next.

SBC News: DATA.BET is set to embark on a fresh chapter in the company’s history through the launch of a traditional sports offering. To begin, why has this decision been made?

Yurii Berest: DATA.BET’s expansion in this direction results from the company’s technical capacity reaching a level where its technologies and tools designed initially for esports have been effectively applied and adapted to sports.

The system was built to handle large volumes of data with speed, structure, and classification accuracy. Their adaptability makes them well-suited for the complexities of traditional sports, particularly where fast decision-making and dynamic market management are required.

While betting on established sports is a mature sector, many providers still cannot process data with the efficiency expected in high-frequency environments. DATA.BET identified this gap and leveraged its existing systems to meet that demand, without relying on fragmented or outdated approaches.

This move marks a strategic evolution of our business model – applying proven technology to a complementary domain where automation, scalability, and operational performance can make an immediate difference. At the same time, integrating sports into our offering allows us to expand our partner service range, giving them more value within a single solution.

SBCN: Who do you see as the primary clients for this product, and what challenges or opportunities are you addressing for them?

YB: The primary target includes operators and platform providers seeking to enhance their market position with additional sportsbook functionality.

DATA.BET provides esports, sports, and virtual content access through one delivery point, reducing the time and resources typically required for multi-provider integrations.

Many сasino businesses are not reaching their full revenue potential due to the absence of a sportsbook offering. This limitation often affects user engagement and reduces long-term growth opportunities. We see this performance gap, and we’ve built a solution to close it.

Our sportsbook offering is explicitly designed to remove entry barriers. With our SPA (iFrame) integration, adding a betting vertical is as easy as connecting a new game provider – fast, simple, and efficient.

The setup can be completed within a week, requiring minimal technical effort. Multiple casino clients have already implemented our solution and reported a clear uplift in both performance and profitability.

SBCN: What makes you believe that you can be a credible alternative to the fierce competition that you will face within the sector?

YB: From the beginning, our company has focused on building sustainable, long-term technical infrastructure. The core strategy was to use automation, ensure stable performance, and rely on data-driven systems that support different content types through a single, flexible architecture.

The company’s experience handling complex, real-time data flows, particularly in esports, has led to the development of a scalable solution that aligns with the operational demands of traditional sports.

Core elements such as modeling creation, risk control, and data structuring have already been validated under high-frequency conditions and are now being applied across new content types.

We are not entering the market with isolated tools but with an integrated portfolio of services – built and maintained internally – to ensure complete control, adaptability, and compliance.

This combination of technical capacity, operational models, trading team, official data, and product depth makes us a relevant alternative in a competitive segment. After the testing period of sports integration, several partners have reported strong outcomes that we will share soon.

Compared to their previous setups, they’ve experienced improved operational consistency, faster time to market, and broader content coverage, which led to stronger performance.

SBCN: What major challenges have you faced during the development of this product, and how were these overcome?

YB: From the very beginning, DATA.BET was never about creating a tool to solve just one problem. Our goal was to build a full software framework system capable of addressing the broader challenges of the esports industry.

We developed the necessary infrastructure and tools, and with that experience, adapting our approach to sports wasn’t a question of possibility, but of time and scale.

The main complexity came from the number of sports we wanted to cover. It required a significant investment of time and resources. At the same time, we didn’t want to offer just an average product with standard odds. We committed to delivering top-quality odds by developing and validating new models.

As in any complex project, time became the biggest challenge – not just delivering fast but without compromising quality. Planning, execution, and staying on schedule while building a product we could be proud of – that was the main task.

SBCN: Are there any lessons you learned from your rich history in esports that have helped shape your outlook and strategy when it comes to traditional sports?

YB: The experience gained in esports highlighted the need to deliver odds quickly and with high accuracy, even in fast-paced environments. We have always prioritised official data sources to ensure quality, precision, and consistency at every process stage.

This focus has allowed us to maintain a high standard of product performance and support strong commercial results for partners prioritising efficiency and reliability.

Many clients entering esports were new to the sector and expected performance from our solution. With our support, they obtained the outcomes they were aiming for and continue to see value in the final results.

This shaped our approach to sports. The exact requirements – speed, reliability, and control – are now applied across all content types. We aim to deliver operational consistency and maintain high standards across every discipline we support.

SBCN: What geographies are your primary targets regarding this new offering, and why?

YB: The initial focus is on regulated markets in Europe, where we already maintain a strong presence through established partnerships and active product deployments in the esports segment.

This includes established technical infrastructure and long-standing client relationships, facilitating smoother market entry for the new offering. Additionally, the company is actively developing its presence in Nordic countries, where we have already partnered with several trusted clients, further strengthening our market position there.

In parallel, expansion efforts are directed toward Latin America, where demand for flexible, multi-sport content is growing. This region demonstrates strong loyalty to local teams – a trend consistently observed across esports and sports.

SBCN: What sports will you primarily be targeting? And can we expect this to be added to in the near future as you step up your game in the traditional sports sector?

YB: The initial rollout focuses on high-demand, globally recognised sports, including football, basketball, tennis, and American football. These categories reflect the core requirements of clients demands and represent the most commercially relevant segments across our target markets.

Drawing from our experience in esports, with consistently covering both mainstream and niche tournaments that perform well, we remain equally committed to depth and diversity in traditional sports.

Our infrastructure is designed to integrate new disciplines efficiently, allowing operators to meet specific audience preferences. This adaptability ensures we can respond quickly to demand, offering both mainstream and less conventional sports content without compromising on performance or quality.
