Kambi Group has secured an omni-channel sportsbook agreement with Latin American operator RedCap, cementing another step in the supplier’s regional expansion strategy.

The collaboration will see Kambi become RedCap’s sportsbook provider, supplying its proprietary technology to the operator’s Betpro and Starplay brands facing players in El Salvador and Panama

This partnership marks an important next step in Kambi’s Latin American growth strategy,” commented Kambi CEO Werner Becher.

“By selecting Kambi to replace their existing provider, RedCap has shown clear confidence in our market-leading technology and ability to support scalable growth. We are excited to help them bring best-in-class sports betting experiences to players across the region.”

In addition to online activations, the partnership has laid out plans for retail rollouts across Latin America, while entry into additional markets have also been included on the roadmap.

Oscar Henao, CEO of RedCap, added: “We are thrilled to join forces with Kambi. This agreement gives us the product and flexibility we need to compete at the highest level, offering our customers premium betting experience across all channels.

“With Kambi’s support, we look forward to launching in Panama and El Salvador and expanding into new markets as we execute our multi-brand strategy.”

Sports betting summer

Kambi will likely hope that its recent deal in Latin America will strengthen the firm’s position ahead of the return of the domestic football season, and build on the back of the FIFA Club World Cup, a hugely popular tournament. In Latin America.

Earlier this month, the provider spoke to SBC News about the recently concluded Club World Cup competition and its impact on sports betting traffic amidst a time of year that would typically lack club football.

Simon Noy, SVP Trading at Kambi, explained how the inaugural tournament – claimed by victors Chelsea FC – delivered “solid results from a sportsbook perspective” specifically in LatAm.

He stated: “In Latin America, the Club World Cup really captured the imagination. Passionate fanbases, strong club performances from the likes of Fluminense and Palmeiras, and a genuine sense of pride in competing against Europe’s elite helped drive engagement.

“That was reflected clearly in our data. At Kambi, more than 80% of all bets placed on the Club World Cup came from Latin America. It’s a strong testament not just to the enthusiasm of the region’s fans, but also to the strength of our growing local partner network.”
