Sportradar has secured the exclusive rights to distribute betting data and non-exclusive media content during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 through a partnership with DAZN – broadcaster of the upcoming tournament.
Beginning on Saturday (14 June), Sportradar will deliver live odds across all 63 tournament matches from DAZN to its global network, which now includes over 800 betting operators and 900 media firms.
Moritz Gloeckler, EVP, Rights & Strategic Projects, Sportradar, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with DAZN to elevate the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 to new heights, expanding global reach, captivating new audiences and deepening engagement with fans worldwide.
“At the same time, we remain committed to upholding the integrity of this prestigious competition.”
Sportradar will have access to deep tracking data from the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, held in the US, to offer an “extensive range of micro and player markets”.
Importantly, the technology group will also utilise its AI-driven Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) to safeguard the tournament from corruption through its bet monitoring deal with FIFA which was formed back in 2017.
DAZN secured the exclusive global media rights of the Club World Cup as part of its early December agreement with FIFA in a deal worth just under $1bn (€866m).
Football’s summer
Many operators are now preparing for the upcoming tournament, which features top clubs such as PSG, Bayern Munich and Benfica, to name a few.
It has also just been announced that Midnite is sponsoring free-to-air broadcaster 5’s UK coverage of the Club World Cup. 5 is airing just 23 of the 63 matches, unlike DAZN which is showing them all.
Lee Sears, President International Advertising and Brand Studios at Paramount Global, said that the tournament is set to be “one of the sporting events of the summer”.
He added: “With most matches airing in peak time and 32 of the world’s biggest clubs involved, our new partnership with Midnite provides a fantastic opportunity for the brand to reach football fans across 5’s platforms at scale.”
This summer will also see the return of the UEFA European Women’s Championship, taking place from 2 – 27 July, presenting even more opportunities for the industry.
