Fortuna Entertainment Group (FEG) has confirmed that Dieter John will succeed Victor Corcoran as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Central and Eastern European gambling group.
The appointment follows Victor Corcoran’s decision to end his three-year tenure as CEO of FEG in 2025.
A new executive at FEG, Dieter John joined the CEE gambling group in March, taking on the joint role of Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO). Prior to joining FEG, John served as Chief Executive of Germany’s PlanetHome GmbH and as a former director at Airbus Europe.
FEG highlighted John’s capabilities and track record to investors: “Dieter has a deep understanding of our business and has been key in executing our strategy. With his strong track record in growing and transforming complex international organisations, Dieter is well-equipped to lead us into the next phase of growth and success.”
The board thanked Victor Corcoran for his invaluable contribution, leading FEG through a period of transition and growth within its key markets of the Czech Republic and Poland – “Victor’s leadership has been instrumental in driving FEG’s progress.”
Developments in CEE markets see FEG monitored closely, as owners Penta Investments are reported to favour a €2bn+ sale of the business.
Penta Investments has been the majority owner of FEG since 2017, helping the Fortuna sportsbook and gaming brand expand beyond its home market of the Czech Republic.
Penta led an M&A investment to expand FEG in the markets of Poland, Croatia, and Romania, seeking to transform Fortuna into the largest CEE gambling group.
