Ed Craven, the co-founder of Stake and Kick, has stated that 2025 will usher in a new era of high performance and shared consciousness for the online platforms under the management of Easygo.
Writing on Medium, Craven reflected on the growth of Stake and Kick as two businesses that have expanded the boundaries of gaming and entertainment for global audiences through the adoption of cryptocurrencies.
In 2016, Craven and partner Bijan Tehrani founded Easygo, a technology venture aimed at developing games for new crypto audiences. The success of ‘original games’ such as Crash and Plinko led to the subsequent launch of Stake in 2017, an online casino and sportsbook platform developed through Easygo’s proprietary tech stack.
Engaging with new audiences, Easygo launched the Kick live streaming platform in 2022 as a competitor to Amazon-owned Twitch. Kick achieved early success and adoption from content creators, rewarding its streaming community with 95% of subscription revenues.
The growth of Stake and Kick has driven changes at Easygo, the technology group overseeing the strategic challenges of the gaming and live streaming platforms, as they navigate regulatory demands and shifting consumer habits. As of 2024, Easygo maintains a headcount of over 1,000 members, with offices across Australia, Serbia, Colombia, Peru, and Brazil. Upcoming expansions are planned for Italy and Canada.
Craven detailed: “Bijan and I started Easygo with a simple vision: to reimagine the online gaming industry. This growth isn’t just about team size; it’s about scale, ambition, and aligning our team while maintaining a lean, focused approach.”
“At its core, Easygo is a technology company. We’ve consistently led the industry, and maintaining that leadership is more important than ever. We must continue to raise the bar and adapt as we grow.”
Stake: Full press on LatAm expansion
In 2025, Stake will continue to “solidify its global expansion” in regulated markets, with plans to make significant strides in the Latin American markets of Colombia and Peru.
Stake is notably among the first online gambling brands to launch in Brazil, embracing the country’s new federal framework for online gambling. Easygo confirmed its Brazil Bets licence application and the appointment of Country Manager Thomas Carvalhaes to lead an initial team of 10 local staff.
The Brazil update stated: “Stake considers Brazil one of its crucial markets, ranking it as their second-largest worldwide. To solidify their commitment and provide a top-tier experience, the operator’s centre of operations is located in São Paulo. Stake is focusing on reinforcing local operations, bringing the cutting-edge innovation Stake is known for, and world-class entertainment for Brazilian players.”
Despite this focus on growth in new markets, Craven emphasised the importance of hands-on leadership and shared consciousness to maintain technological advantages through relentless attention to detail. He remarked: “Looking ahead, we remain focused on entering regulated markets, as highlighted in our interview with Forbes. While Stake has been widely recognised as a crypto casino, we’ve expanded payment options to meet player preferences and adapt to regulatory frameworks in new markets. With ambitious plans for Stake, we aim to further localise our offerings in 2025, ensuring we continue to meet the unique demands of players worldwide.”
Kick to remain a global disruptor of streaming audiences
Kick experienced exponential growth in 2024, reaching over 50 million users globally, with notable success in Spanish-speaking regions. The platform recorded an impressive 1.8 billion hours watched this year, driven by technological advancements and a robust infrastructure designed for scalability.
Craven attributed Kick’s success to its unwavering focus on creators: “Kick was built to be creator-first, and that cornerstone belief drives everything we do.” The platform’s creator-focused initiatives, including Weekly Payments and the AutoMod moderation tool, have cemented its reputation as a transformative force in live streaming. The launch of a TV app has further enhanced accessibility, bringing streams into living rooms worldwide and setting the stage for Kick’s most ambitious year yet.
2025: Easygo marks its stamp as Entertainment leader
Innovation remains the cornerstone of Easygo’s success. The game studios Twist and Massive have delivered exclusive, high-quality content for Stake, while the proprietary Carrot platform is set for groundbreaking upgrades in 2025. Easygo’s plans to revive Stake Originals—classic games reimagined with fresh designs—highlight its commitment to blending nostalgia with innovation, offering unique experiences for players.
Entering 2025, Easygo’s mission remains clear: to lead the gaming and live streaming industries by adapting to global audience needs. Reflecting on the journey, Craven stated: “This year has been one of transformation and growth. We’ve solidified our foundation, and now we’re ready to take the next leap. Together, we’re building something extraordinary.”
“As we scale, it’s essential to preserve this ‘all-in’ mindset that got us here. Watching our teams and leaders step up, take on challenges, and grow their skills has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey as a founder. Every individual plays a powerful role in driving Easygo’s continued success.”
