Sportingtech has been granted a certificate by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI).
The turnkey betting and igaming solutions provider is the latest to do so, as GLI provides the required assurances that a company meets all necessary provisions to operate in Brazil.
Operators looking to tap into the upcoming regulated market can now freely partner with Sportingtech’s platform, which is now proven to satisfy all regulatory standards.
Under the regulations set out by Brazil’s Secretariat for Prizes and Betting (SPA), operators looking to secure their licence will need to attach additional certification documents with their application in order to prove that they are on par with the required technical standards.
If approved, operators can then initiate the process of paying the fee for a Brazilian licence, which currently stands at 30m BRL (£3.9m).
Earlier this year, GLI became the first laboratory to achieve local accreditation by SPA to certify betting systems, live game studios, and online games.
Antoinette Caruana, Head of Technical Compliance at Sportingtech, said: “Being certified for Brazil in alignment with the requirements of the Brazilian Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) is a significant milestone for Sportingtech.
“It reflects our unwavering commitment to regulatory excellence and our ability to meet evolving market demands. We are here to guide operators through every step, ensuring they are prepared for the regulated market and long-term success in Brazil.”
