Paddy Power has been announced as the new title sponsor of next year’s Kabaddi World Cup.
Coming to England in March next year, the operator described the competition as the “ultimate test of endurance with plenty of raw skill, physical prowess, a rowdy vibe and plenty of shouting”.
In detail, Kabaddi is a contact team sport played between two teams of seven players, originating in ancient India.
A press release from Paddy Power read: “He’s pushed all the desks against the wall and is chasing the traders around shouting Kabaddi, Kabaddi, Kabaddi in preparation for the big show next spring.
“Like a pig in the brown stuff. You should see his happy little face. There’s more to it than that, of course, and you can check out our Kabaddi rules explainer here.
“But, for now, the big countdown is on so get clued up. And, remember, Kabaddi! Kabaddi! Kabaddi!”
Paddy Power also recently announced that it is once again donating £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every 180 scored at the 2024/25 PDC World Darts Championship, which begins this Sunday.
However, this year, a £180,000 bonus will also be up for grabs every time a player hits a nine-darter.
