SOFTSWISS has experienced a growth in esports interest, with the vertical’s turnover doubling in Q3 2024.
The figure comes from the company’s latest sportsbook report, which highlighted that eFootball outpaced Counter-Strike 2 for a second consecutive quarter.
Alexander Kamenetskyi, Head of SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, commented: “The growth of cybersports presents new opportunities; for specialised projects targeting specific audiences, esports events can also serve as an effective starting point.”
Besides eFootball, the other four top-ranking sports in terms of gross gaming revenue (GGR) were football, tennis, basketball and table tennis.
The average live bet saw a 10% growth quarter-on-quarter, with live bets holding a total of 78.6% of the turnover. Additionally, the average bet was up 9.7% in Q3, with the number of bets increasing by 18.7% QoQ.
Data also shows that operator projects continue to operate successfully with the right approach to promotional strategies, even after major sporting events like the UEFA Euro 2024.
“We continuously focus on product growth and development, enhancing features and user experience to drive further engagement and profitability for our partners,” Kamenetskyi added.
Elsewhere, SOFTSWISS is currently awaiting to receive a certification for its casino platform and sportsbook to launch in the Brazilian market.
