EveryMatrix has launched a new outreach project aimed at aiding veterans of the Ukraine war by helping them transition into careers in the tech sector.
‘Academy for Heroes’ has begun in Lviv city, where the supplier has more than 300 employees – some of which are currently fighting in the war, the company explained.
Ebbe Groes, EveryMatrix Group CEO & Co-Founder, commented: “Our Lviv office is central to our continued success and growth. Ever since the country has experienced conflict we have supported our friends and colleagues, as well as charities, with much needed funds committing more than €2m ($2.2m) to date, and we will continue to help them.
“Now, we’re taking that one step further by setting up our second company NGO to ensure veterans receive the training and skills they need to return to work and develop successful careers in technology.”
The initiative also seeks to address the physical and psychological hardships of transitioning back into normal life after being at war, providing a form of social adaptation for those who need it.
Groes added: “The IT industry is one of the strongest parts of the Ukrainian economy, renowned worldwide for technical skills. I hope many will either join us or go on to join other IT companies, giving them hope and a more certain future for themselves and their families.”
Meanwhile, the course has been created by IT professionals and will aim to provide participants with adequate IT skills to begin successful technology careers.
EveryMatrix has developed this latest initiative alongside a range of local IT companies, who will be involved in the employment of veterans that complete the course.
In recent months, SBC announced that EveryMatrix acquired sportsbook solutions provider FSB Technology (FSB) in an all-cash deal for an undisclosed sum.
EveryMatrix is now migrating FSB’s clients onto its proprietary turnkey technology. This includes Player Account Management, OddsMatrix sportsbook, casino aggregation and its CasinoEngine productivity platform.
