Jas Deol ends 13-year term as Betway’s sportsbook lead

Jaswant Deol has departed from Super Group Plc, ending his 13-year tenure as an executive of Betway.

Known to colleagues as Jas, Deol had served as Sportsbook Director of Betway since 2015, during which he oversaw technical projects, product upgrades, and the launch of the Betway brand across new markets and with key partners.

An expert in all disciplines related to sportsbook management, Deol joined Win Technologies, the operating unit of Betway, in 2011 from Betfair, taking on the role of Head of Sports.

Having overseen key marketing and customer acquisition/retention projects, Deol was promoted to Sportsbook Director of Betway in 2015.

During his tenure, Deol witnessed the transformation of Betway as the flagship brand of Super Group, which was listed on the NYSE in January 2022.

Speaking to SBCNews, Deol commented on his departure: “After 13 successful years with Betway, during which the company has grown annually and expanded into more than 17 countries, becoming a global powerhouse, I believe it was the right time for me to leave to embark on new ventures.”

Taking time off, Deol noted that he was looking forward to new challenges and assessing opportunities to disrupt the global sportsbook market.

“The sports industry is undergoing rapid evolution, particularly with the advent of AI, which presents unprecedented opportunities for sportsbooks to enhance their offerings and operational efficiencies,” Deol noted.
