As Manchester City lifted the Premier League trophy for a fourth consecutive time last weekend, bet365 also congratulated its customers for their new-found cash.
The online gambling company has announced that it had a “shockingly bad” end to the 2023/24 Premier League season after the league’s final day saw a full house of favourites win.

We were given a glimmer of hope when VAR checked Kai Havertz’s late winner, but unfortunately for us, and to the delight of our customers, the German’s 89th minute goal stood to seal a miserable final day.”
However, the majority of punters were not successful on Saturday. Heavy favourite Tyson Fury was defeated by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk in an Undisputed World Heavyweight title fight that took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Ukrainian handed the ‘Gypsy King’ his first professional loss and in doing so also led to the majority of bettors in the UK ripping up their bets.
Freeth added: “The football may have been abysmal, but we had a brilliant result in Riyadh with Tyson Fury being edged out on points by Oleksandr Usyk, but that profit was swallowed up come 6pm on Sunday
“Our minds are already on next season as we tentatively go out with the Premier League outright for 2024/25. Manchester City at 10/11 are a shade of odds-on to win a fifth consecutive title with Arsenal at 9/4 and Liverpool 8/1. There’s the small matter of the Euros first!”
