Super Group has announced the appointment of Elen Barber as Chief Marketing Officer.
Barber joins the holding company of Betway and Spin after spending over 13 years working for fellow operator Kindred Group.
On LinkedIn, Barber wrote: “I’m excited to share some news – I’m starting a new position as Chief Marketing Officer at Super Group (SGHC)! I am thrilled to join this innovative team and looking forward to the exciting challenges ahead!”
It was in May 2023 that Kindred Group announced Elen Barber and Anne-Jaap Snijders were preparing to step down.
The Executives’ decisions followed the conclusion of a review they were spearheading, which examined Kindred’s marketing and commercial operations. Areas of focus were local commercial requirements and market regulations, and increasing the firm’s flexibility.
At Kindred, Barber held various roles such as Manager of Global Affiliates, Head of Affiliates, Head of Digital Advertising, Director of Brand Marketing and, in her most recent position, CMO.
The news comes only weeks after Super Group claimed to have overcome a challenging 2023, in which its corporate performance was dragged down by US-specific impairments impacting profitability.
In publishing its Q4 and full-year 2023 preliminary results, the firm concluded by declaring its “highest ever total revenue for a fourth quarter of €359m,” a 9% increase on 2022 comparatives of €329m.
