The board of Entain Plc has announced the appointment of Ronald J. Kramer as a new Independent non-executive director (NED) of the FTSE 100 gambling group with immediate effect.
An expert in corporate finance and asset management, Kramer is the current Chairman and CEO of Griffon Corporation (NYSE:GFF), a diversified management and holding company headquartered in New York.
During his extensive 40-year career on Wall Street, Kramer has worked with and consulted for the investment banks of Citibank, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Dresdner Kleinwort.
Kramer holds previous gambling experience, having served as the President of Wynn Resorts Limited, a position held between 2002–2008.
Welcoming Kramer as a new NED, Barry Gibson, Chairman of Entain, said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Ronald J. Kramer to the Board. He is a high-caliber individual with deep knowledge and expertise of the US gaming industry.
I am confident that his appointment will add significant value to the Board and complement our existing Board dynamics, as we continue to deliver our strategy of growth and focus on shareholder value.”
Kramer joins Entain as the board has assigned a Capital Allocation Committee to review the FTSE group’s brand portfolio, corporate funding, and operating structures. Barry Gibson will chair the new Committee with Pierre Bouchut and Ricky Sandler being appointed as executive members.
The board of Entain continues to search for a new CEO, following the resignation of Jette Nygaard-Andersen on 13 December 2023.
