Identifying a strong global and regional demand, sports data provider STATSCORE has included Hindi as one of the supported languages for its products and solutions.

The firm, based in Poland, aims to address and capitalise on the opportunities posed by including the language into its system, noting the global reach of widely-spoken Hindi.

In particular, STATSCORE has highlighted Hindi as holding ‘significant importance’ for India’s sporting landscape as the most prominent language in the country, where the company has been bolstering its cricket offering of late.

STATSCORE notably incorporated Indian Premier League (IPL) and Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) data into its ScoutsFeed offering this year, citing the huge popularity of cricket both in India and globally.

“India, with its massive cricket fan base and rich cricketing heritage, has emerged as a dominant force in the sport,” STATSCORE’s statement read.

“The Indian national cricket team has achieved remarkable success, captivating millions of passionate fans. Additionally, Hindi-speaking sports enthusiasts closely follow various other sports.

“By introducing Hindi language support to our products, we enable sports fans to access our comprehensive sports coverage in their preferred language.”

Due to Hindi being spoken by over 600 million people worldwide – being prevalent in Nepal, Mauritius, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and parts of Pakistan and Bangladesh – STATSCORE has underline the potential incorporating the language into its solutions for betting operators and media outlets can have.
