Soft2Bet has extended its international footprint after being granted a first-class gambling licence from the Romanian regulator, ONJN.
The new licence, said to be an “exciting opportunity for Soft2Bet”, will enable the gaming platform provider to roll out its casino and sportsbook offerings to the Romanian market.
David Yatom, Soft2Bet’s General Counsel, said: “We consider the Romanian market as one of the pivotal markets for establishing our foothold in Eastern Europe.
“Acquiring a local Romanian operating licence marks an important step in our strategic expansion, building upon Soft2Bet’s success in other European markets. Stay tuned for more exciting developments in the near future.”
Soft2Bet explained that its entry into Romania marks a new “milestone” for the company as it continues to grow its presence across Europe.
The platform provider has made significant progress in its global expansion in 2023, with a presence in Denmark, Greece, Ireland and Sweden.
Upon receipt of its Greek licence, obtained back in May, Soft2Bet noted that this region had been “of particular interest to the platform provider and operator group” since it reopened back in 2021”.
