Lottomatica first to roll out Stats Perform’s new tennis streaming features

Italian sportsbook, Lottomatica, will be the first to access Stats Perform’s new live streaming features for tennis.

Through its brands Goldbet and Better, the company also becomes the first operator in the country to offer Stats Perform’s new Smart Stats Overlays feature for live video of football matches, alongside the Instant Highlights functionality.

Andrew Ashenden, Stats Perform’s Chief Betting Officer, said: “The growth in bettor entertainment and user retention from Instant Highlights and Smart Stats Overlays is what the sports betting industry has long needed from the live streaming experience.

“We are proud to share a joint vision with Lottomatica on the role these features have on making sports betting more entertaining.”

The sports data and analytics company’s Instant Highlights feature enables bettors to re-watch key match events such as goals, shots on target, red cards and more while a match is in-play.

This enables bettors to watch all moments from Stats Perform’s live streaming competitions, such as LaLiga, Ligue 1, Brazil Serie A, plus WTA and Australian Open tennis, to name a few.

Director of Betting, Southern Europe at Stats Perform, Vincenzo Zeppillo, added: “We’re delighted to help Lottomatica be the first to bring such a high level of sports entertainment to their tennis customers and confident Instant Highlights and Smart Stats Overlays will be a huge success, as they are for football.”

The firm has detailed that Smart Stats Overlays provides Goldbet and Better users with real-time Opta betting stats on-screen, displayed over the top of Stats Perform’s football and tennis live streams.

Both Instant Highlights and Smart Stats Overlays are available through Stats Perform’s plug-and-play Content Player Pro, or an API for custom product development.

“The next generation of live streaming has arrived on the goldbet.it and better.it sportsbook,” concluded Sportsbook Director Betting and Digital Italy Lottomatica, Paolo Manzo.

“We focus relentlessly on enhancing the customer experience and Instant Highlights and Smart Stats Overlays from Stats Perform are powerful tools helping us make every live sports stream more entertaining and more valuable for our customers.

“We’re proud to be the first sportsbook in the world to offer highlights and overlays for tennis live streams – a really important sport for our customers.”

Speaking to SBC News this month, Stats Perform’s VP of Betting Product, Nick Cockerill, explained: “When we launched Instant Highlights and Smart Stats Overlays in March 2022, we knew we were taking something that hadn’t really changed since it first launched 10+ years ago and fundamentally evolving how customers consumed and interacted with it.

“For the first time, customers weren’t just watching a stream, they were interacting with it and that principle of transforming passive content experiences into ones that are actively engaging for more users is one we’ll be focusing on in the coming years.

“Instant Highlights has undoubtedly been the star of the show and the rate at which new clients have integrated the product has been quite staggering given how congested we know roadmaps can be.

“This has been massively validating to us and gives us confidence to accelerate our plans for what’s next – which I’m even more excited about than when we first launched.”
