EveryMatrix secures licence to initiate Ontario market entry

Further expanding its standing in the North American betting space, European supplier EveryMatrix has secured a licence in Ontario.

Upon receiving approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the Matla-headquartered betting and gaming provider has initiated preparations to launch its online turnkey offering in Canada’s most populous province.

The company plans to deliver its proprietary content and in-house technology to sportsbook and casino operators in the territory, which will include games from its Spearhead Studios and Armadillo Studios igaming divisions.

Erik Nyman, President EveryMatrix Americas, said: “Obtaining the registration approval from the AGCO is an important milestone for us in our North American expansion.

“We are very excited to provide our products to existing American customers and other operators entering Canada’s largest jurisdiction.”

EveryMatrix has further stated that it has implemented responsibility standards in line with licensing requirements in order to ‘ensure the players’ safety’ throughout its operations.

A long-time European betting and gaming incumbent, the company is a member of the European Lotteries Association (EL) and has offices in countries such as Romania, Armenia, and Spain.

Like many other Europe-based suppliers, however, EveryMatrix has acquired a keen interest in the burgeoning North American sports betting industry – as outlined in its Q1 earnings call in May, one month after Ontario’s opening.

The firm has identified Ontario as an ‘important and popular marketplace’ in North America, noting a ‘strong response from operators in the casino vertical’ upon the launch of the provincial sector.

In pursuit of its transatlantic ambitions, EveryMatrix has also opened an office in Miami and secured membership of the iDEA Growth US betting and casino trade association.
