Novibet onboards Giannis Papastamou as Head of Customer Compliance

Novibet has announced the appointment of Giannis Papastamou as new Head of Customer Compliance, responsible for providing strategic guidance on compliance throughout the organization, with a dedicated focus on anti-money laundering (ΑΜL) & upholding responsible gambling standards.

With in-depth knowledge of the gambling industry’s strict regulations – previously at Bet365 Customer Due Diligence Department- Papastamou brings  many years of experience onboard, to strengthen the brand’s initiatives on AML & responsible gambling practices.

His appointment was branded as critical to Novibet maintaining its customer success, as the pan-European betting group has expanded its day-to-day operations to +450 employees 470 employees working in the jurisdictions of the UK, Greece, Malta, Italy and Ireland.

In his remit, Papastamou will take the lead of group compliance procedures and overall strategy to balance the operator’s multi-market regulatory requirements, risk assessment and business objectives.
