Ladbrokes boosts Irish profile by announcing new Ambassador club

Ladbrokes has moved to enhance its Irish sports status by confirming the appointment of former Republic of Ireland striker Kevin Doyle and former Munster and Ireland Rugby blindside flanker Stephen Ferris as Brand Ambassadors.

Doyle and Ferris join middleweight boxer Jason Quigley and champion jockey Paul Townend as Ladbrokes Ireland expands its ambassadorial stable.

The quintet is set to engage football, boxing, rugby and racing audiences through weekly blogs, social media posts and personal appearances where they will share their unique insights on all sports.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes says: “This is a thrilling move and we’re relishing what they will bring to the Ladbrokes brand. Each of these stars had uncompromising attitudes in their sports and I’m sure they won’t pull any punches in their opinions.”

Serving as Ladbrokes Ireland Rugby Ambassador, Ferris spoke of his excitement in joining the bookmaker ahead of RWC Japan 2019 (kick-off 20 September), in which Ireland is considered amongst the tournament favourites to lift the Webb Ellis cup.

“It’s an exciting time for all rugby fans with the World Cup on our doorstep and I am looking forward to sharing my insights with Ladbrokes customers over what should hopefully be six incredible weeks of top-class action,” said Ferris.

Meanwhile, an outspoken Kevin Doyle looks forward to covering this season European football leagues, commenting: “I’m looking forward to working with Ladbrokes and giving their football customers my thoughts on all aspects of what should be a fascinating and thrilling football season. There’s never any shortage of controversy or major talking points so it’s going to be fun airing my views through my weekly blog.”
