Responding to numerous customer complaints filed against TGP Holdings’ betting brands 138.com, 12Bet, Fun88 and TLC Bet, relating to closed Cheltenham 2016 winning player accounts.
The Isle of Man’s Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) has announced that it will investigate the matter and TGP operations’ which saw its subsidiary brands close multiple accounts on suspicion of ‘bonus abuse and fraudulent activity’.
Last weekend angry racing punters took to social media and UK news channels stating that TGP brands had withheld Cheltenham 2016 player winnings, following the conclusion of the racing festival.
Issuing an update, GSC stated that it had begun ‘dialogue with licensees’ representatives’. Regarding the complaints against TGP, the commission has begun ‘gathering information from customers and from the licensee’ on 18 March.
The commission informed that its investigation’s conclusions would be shared with all relevant parties once complete. GSC may also make recommendations in order for the player issue to be resolved.
This week the Isle of Man police directed TGP customers to lodge complaints against the operator at www.actionfraud.police.uk . The Isle of Man police has confirmed that it has contacted TGP Holdings’ governance regarding the allegations of non-payment on Cheltenham winnings.
It is understood that since last weekend, TGP has let a number of customers regain access to their accounts. Garth Kimber Chief Executive of TGP Holdings maintains that his company had acted in accordance with its “regulator approved procedures and terms and conditions”.
