UK marketing news source Campaign Live (CampaignLive.co.uk) has reported that Gibraltar based bookmaker BetVictor has called for a creative pitch, ahead of this summer’s UEFA Euro 2016 Championships.

BetVictor marketing are reported to have sent creative briefs to select UK agencies with the first round of presentations expected to take place this February.

Current Incumbent VCCP Media (London) have been asked re-pitch their services, the agency has handled the BetVictor account since 2012.

In November 2015, the BetVictor brand undertook a new creative direction with VCCP launching UK campaign ‘BetVictor – Simple As’.

The multi-channel campaign replaced BetVictor’s long term promotional character ‘Maurice’ played by comedian Paul Kaye. VCCP stated that it wanted to focus campaign messaging on BetVictor’s great odds value as a leading UK bookmaker.

BetVictor marketing commented on the creative re-pitch

“VCCP continue to play an integral part in the sustained growth of BetVictor and we have always been delighted with the quality of their work. We have though decided for our Euro 2016 campaign to examine a number of other creative agencies and allow them the opportunity to pitch alongside”
