A Sky Bet customer was in a jubilant mood on January 9th following a win on the bookmaker’s Super 6 competition.
Owen Burrows, a 25 year old from Cambridge, correctly predicted the scores of six FA cup third round ties to win the £250,000 jackpot. Burrows said of his win: “I genuinely can’t believe I’ve won, it feels like a dream.”
The odds for the six correct score predictions were 770,000/1. He perfectly predicted the following games: Arsenal to beat Sunderland 3-1, Stoke to beat Doncaster 2-1, Man City to win 3-0 against Norwich, Southampton to lose 2-1 to Palace, Watford to beat Newcastle 1-0 and Wolves to go down 1-0 against West Ham.
Sky Bet’s Head of PR Sandro di Michele said: “The magic of the FA Cup was certainly felt in one household tonight and we offer our warm congratulations to the sole winner.”
He added: “Nikica Jelavic’s strike might well turn out to be the last one he scores at Upton Park but either way, it’s going to live long in the memory of our Super 6 player who scooped £250,000 on the back of it”.
