The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice (Stoke on Trent) has secured a £9000 donation from William Hill thanks to Gary Anderson’s amazing nine dart finish during the PDC World Darts Championship on Saturday night.
Anderson’s perfect leg during Saturday’s World Dart Championship semi-final against Jelle Klaasen sees official tournament sponsors William Hill donate the bonus money to the hospice, a selected PDC charity.
During the course of the tournament, William Hill has pledged to make a £9,000 donation per nine-dart finish to the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice – with four players having missed the final double to achieve a perfect leg earlier in this event.
“It took until the semi-finals to get a nine-darter, but it was worth the wait,” said William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny.
“We’re delighted for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice to receive this donation. They do brilliant work and we hope our donation helps make some difference.”

“It’s great to hit the nine-dart finish – especially because I was one of the guys who’d missed it earlier on! I’m delighted for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice because they’re a fantastic charity and this will be a lovely start to the New Year for them.”
