Winamax nets l’Olympique de Marseille partnership

French licensed online poker and sports betting operator Winamax has confirmed the agreement of a betting partnership with France Ligue 1 football club l’Olympique de Marseille. Winamax is set to replace Betclic as official online gambling partner for the Cote d’Azur club.

Winamax governance have not disclosed the sum of their sponsorship with l’Olympique, however French business sources report that it is the biggest partnership in the operators history. l’Olympique de Marseille are recognised as France best supported football team, with the most amount of championships (10 total),latest Ligue 1 title being won in 2010.

Winamax are set to utilise the sponsorship to promote the operators new sports betting platform which was fully launched in Q4 2014. The partnership will see Winamax poker and betting services promoted on match days throughout the 60,000 Stade Velodrome and on the football club’s online inventory.

Prior to its partnership with l’Olympique, Winamax had been official shirt sponsor of Rhone Provence football club AS Saint Etienne.
