DraftKings seals UFC partnership

UFCBoston based daily fantasy sports operator Draftkings has continued its expansion into professional sports by announcing a partnership with leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promoter the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

UFC fighting events will now be promoted on the Draftkings platform, for players to contest exclusive weekly fantasy MMA leagues and contests. UFC is set to plan exclusive prizes for DraftKings top performers.

As a UFC partner DraftKings will gain exclusive coverage and promotion at UFC live events throughout the US. Additionally UFC athletes will participate in DaftKing leagues and promotions.

“The UFC is the fastest growing sports organisation in the world, driven by the millions of fans who passionately follow MMA,” DraftKings’ Vice-president of Business Development, Jeremy Elbaum, said.

“We’re excited to partner with the UFC to provide its fans with games that provide tremendous payouts and amazing, unique prizes.”

Draftkings continues its high coverage partnership strategy with US sports leagues and franchises. In the past 12 months the fantasy sports operator has signed exclusive agreements with Golden State Warriors (NBA), Denver Broncos (NFL), New England Patriots (NFL) and Philadelphia 76ers (NBA)
