William Hill has announced that Thomas Murphy General Counsel and Head of Business Systems has stepped down from his role. Murphy’s General Counsel role will be replaced by Michael Leadbeater Head of Commercial.
Murphy departs from William Hill after seven years of service, having joined as company secretary in January 2007. Murphy will join online travel platform technology provider Travelport as General Counsel.
His replacement Michael Leadbeater has been with operator since 2008, joining the William Hill team as General Counsel & Company Secretary for William Hill Online. In November 2014 Leadbeater was appointed Director of Group Legal Services for William Hill Plc.
The announcement of Thomas Murphy sees another senior management departure for the UK listed sports betting operator. In December 2014, the operator announced that it would be seeking a new Chief Marketing Officer, as Kristof Fahy announced that he would be leaving the company in April of this year.
