666Bet has signed a sponsorship agreement with Matchroom Boxing for Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua MBE’s first title fight against Dennis Bakhtov. The WBC International Heavyweight title takes place as part of Matchroom’s ‘Moment of Truth’ event at London’s 02 Arena on Tuesday 11thOctober. 666Bet will have their logo displayed in around the ring, including on the centre canvas and the two fighter corner posts, as well as on all event artwork, backdrops and media day training rings.

Barry Martin, CEO of 666Bet.com, said: “After our first taste of boxing, sponsoring July’s ‘Fight For The Right’ event in Manchester, we were really keen to support another sensational boxing card.

“We’re extremely excited to bring fans Anthony Joshua’s first ever title fight, a match-up which could prove to be historic in the context of this young heavyweight prospect’s career.

“It’s been a productive few months here at 666Bet, having only launched just before the World Cup. We’re now the proud shirt sponsors of Leyton Orient, as well as official betting partners of both Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion, and we see boxing as an important sport in our sponsorship strategy.”

Joshua has won all of his first eight professional fights by knockout, with his bout against Konstantin Airich last Saturday being the first time he’d been taken to the third round.

His opponent in October will be the Russian Bakhtov, a veteran fighter who has twice previously held the vacant WBC International Title.

It will also be a massive evening for Wales’ Lee Selby. The reigning WBC International Featherweight champion will get a shot at the IBF World Featherweight belt if he can defeat the Australian Joel Bunker.

Selby will be confident of his chances, having compiled a 19-1 record during his career, exploding onto the world scene in the last two years with wins over Viorel Simeon and Romulu Koasicha.
