Boylesports to become new sponsor of Irish Greyhound Derby

A deal has been struck which will see the Irish bookmaker, BOYLESPORTS, become the new sponsor of the Irish Greyhound Derby until at least 2016.

The agreement with the Irish Greyhound Board (IGB) will also see Boylesports become the official betting partner of the IGB.

The owner of the independent bookmakers,JOHN BOYLE, said of the arrangement; “Every year we examine ways of increasing our sponsorship portfolio and when the IGB kindly approached us we had little hesitation in reaching an agreement.

By becoming the official betting partner of the IGB, it means that we will be extending our product offering and enhancing the service to our customers.”

The deal follows a successful period for Boylesports; they recently acted as the title sponsor of the 2014 Irish Grand National horse racing event in April. This is recognised as one of the biggest sporting and social events in the Irish calendar with a prize fund of €250,000.

Boyle went on to say of the arrangement with the IGB: “This is a further reflection of our desire to support major sports events in Ireland and with our two recent flagship horse racing sponsorships means that we are investing more money into Irish sports than ever before
