Betfair has announced the appointment of former Informa Plc CEO Peter Rigby to its Board of Directors, Rigby is set to replace long standing directors Mike McTighe and Fru Hazlitt who have stepped down from the board.
Rigby joins Betfair having left his position of CEO at academic publishing and conferencing business Informa plc. He will serve as a non-executive director for Betfair, from the 1st of April. Rigby will also be part of the operators’ remuneration committee.
Rigby commented on his appointment “I am delighted to be joining Betfair at this time and look forward to working with the Board and the management team in the future growth of Betfair.
In the past six months the igaming operator has made significant changes to its supervisory committee. Rigby will be joining new faces on the Betfair board, such as new non-executive director Leo Quinn who joined Betfair in February 2014 and Ian Dyson who joined Betfair in March 2014.
