Gibraltar based sports betting operator BetVictor has announced the renewal of its title sponsorship of the 2014 Welsh Snooker Open. BetVictor extends its sponsorship of the snooker event for a further year.
The Welsh Snooker Open will continue to be promoted as the BetVictor Welsh Open, with the Open taking place at from February 19 to March 2 at the Newport Centre in Wales. BetVictor have continue the title sponsorship from the 2013 won by Scotsman Stephen Maguire.
Magnus Grinneback, BetVictor Asia’s managing director, said that the company regards the event as an “excellent opportunity to extend the reach of the BetVictor brand to our core markets”.
Grinneback further commented: “The Welsh Open is one of the sport’s iconic tournaments and we are delighted to again lend our name and support to an event that has been extended in 2014 to give snooker fans the opportunity to see legends of the sport rub shoulders with some of the new kids on the block in a brand new format.”
