matchbookRe-launch Party Serves Up a Treat, As MatchBook Raises The ‘Steaks’ in Sports Betting, With New Exchange Product!

The SBC team were fortunate enough to attend MatchBook.com’s product re-launch party at the world famous Greenwich 02 Arena, for an evening of fine dining and top class tennis!

The MatchBook.com team pulled out all the entertainment stops, inviting a select group of guests and their staff to the ATP Tour Finals, final group stage matches at the London O2 Arena. The evening began with a Champagne reception at the renowned Argentinean Steak House ‘Gaucho’. Guests were warmly welcomed by the MatchBook team, who kindly displayed their new betting exchange product.

Prior to the Gaucho meal commencing, MatchBook.com Director Of Global Acquisitions Francis Osei-Amoaten gave a short speech welcoming guests to their party and introducing MatchBooks new betting exchange product. Francis touchingly gave thanks to the hard work that his staff had contributed to the creation of the new platform and website , commending their dedication and efforts during these busy and stressful months for their company. The speech was delivered impeccably smoothly, like a Roger Federer backhand – top marks to Mr Francis Osei-Amoaten!

And so we sat down to commence our dining, and fine dining it was as the Gaucho served up (warning – tennis and steak puns are attached to the following text) an Argentinean feast of Meat and Malbeck wine.

Starters saw a delicious king prawns and black pudding fresh orange and romesco sauce, a fantastic opening to the meal.

A delicious starter, nevertheless the SBC bellies were really lining up for the thrilling main course feast, the famous ‘Gaucho 300 gram Bife Asado’,  Served on hot plates (NB…as all steaks should), this was the Grand Slam of the steak world. Accompanied by a selection of roasted pumpkin and sweet corn, green tomato and capers salad, spinach and French Fries the SBC team munched their meals with broad smiles on their faces! Cheekily SBC Founder Rasmus Sojmark asked  the Gaucho staff for a doggy bag to take any unfinished dining spares home, Rasmus had no luck as all steaks were polished off.

Desert saw a delicious Dulce de Leche and Macadamia Cheesecake being served. This dessert tasted so good that the SBC editor was forced to rescheduled his November dieting plan to December.

Having finished the delicious meal and feeling like ‘real men’, team SBC and guests were ushered to the O2 Arena Executive boxes to watch ‘Novak Djokovic vs Richard Gasquet’, the final group match of the ATP Tour Masters Finals.

The match was a top class exhibition of Tennis. The first set won by Djokovic in a tight tie break winning 7-5, what an opening to the match. Richard Gasquet rallied back in the second set, displaying top tier power tennis, had the Frenchman dined on a ‘Bife Asado’ during the break, as he took this set 6-4!

The third and deciding set saw Novak stamp his authority on Gasquet, proving why he is the favourite to win this tournament. The Serbian took won the match with a master class 6-3 final set. What a match and what a party!

The entertainment did not stop there, as guests and staff where taken to the O2 Executive Bar for final drinks and more shenanigans. Having been treated to such a great day, and having seen a tennis extravaganza, spirits were high! Guests and MatchBook staff partied late into the night, some even missing the last Greenwich tube service and having to hitch the sobering up boat service home (please note that SBC does not name and shame!)

What a night! The SBC team would like to Thank the MatchBook Staff for hosting a fantastic Re-Launch party, this event was truly epic and we wish your team the best of luck with your new product in 2014!

We hope to see your team at our upcoming SBC Social at DSTRKT London so we can repay your kindness.

Thanks and best of luck

Team SBC!
