Betway broadens brand visibility with five top-flight Chilean clubs

Betway has become the official premium partner of five football clubs in the Chilean First Division – a first in the country for the Super Group-owned brand.

In a deal brokered by 1190 Sports, the teams in collaboration with the betting firm include; Union La Calera, Coquimbo Unido, Everton, Audax Italiano and Deportivo Ñublense.

In looking to build on wider visibility as its branding will be featured on each of the first team home and away playing and training kits, Anthony Werkman, CEO of Betway, commented: “It’s a proud moment for us as we sign our first agreements in Chile with five fantastic football clubs in the First Division.

“The deals give us a great opportunity to showcase our products through the extensive list of both branding and activation rights that are included. We’re looking forward to working closely with each of our new five partnered clubs off the pitch, and we wish them all success on the pitch this season and beyond.”

Furthermore, the betting firm’s branding will also be visible on the perimeter boards around each of the partnered clubs home stadiums and training facilities, with its logo also on the backdrops for press conferences and media interviews.

Betway will also work with each club in a bid to boost customer and fan experience. This has been reported to involve ‘exclusive content’ on each of the side’s websites and across all social media platforms – which will include fan zones and building activations at the stadiums.

“We welcome Betway to Chilean football, the cradle of athletes of international relevance,” added Hernan Donnari, CEO & Co-Founder of 1190 Sports. “We are very excited and grateful for the trust and support of Betway. Alliances such as this one reaffirms the great interest of the brands in accompanying the growth process of football in Chile.”

Last week, in further global growth of the online gambling brand, the Ghana Women’s Premier League also gained a new development partner in Betway, in a deal agreed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

This collaboration sees Betway focus on supporting the teams and helping expand the league, whilst key benefits were identified as a season-long mentorship programme with local and international resources for officials of the clubs under the auspices of Betway Ghana.
