William Hill has signed Keith Donoghue as a horse racing ambassador.
The bookmaker described Donoghue as a top-class jockey after having had Cheltenham Festival victories aboard Tiger Roll, Delta Work and Limerick Lace in recent years.
Andrew McCleave, Head of Marketing at William Hill Ireland, commented: “We are delighted to have Keith Donoghue join our stable of ambassadors at William Hill. Keith is a phenomenal jockey, and we can’t wait to see what the festival season has in store for him this year.”
Donoghue joins William Hill’s roster of ambassadors alongside trainer Gavin Cromwell, broadcaster Jane Mangan, top ex-jockeys Sir AP McCoy and Barry Geraghty, to name a few.
“As lead jockey for fellow William Hill ambassador Gavin Cromwell, he has some great opportunities ahead of him and we’ll be there to share exclusive updates, behind the scenes interviews and more across all our social content channels,” McCleave added.
In his new role, the jockey will provide regular content to William Hill’s customers, previewing rides and giving his thoughts on the latest key racing stories in a regular column on the operator’s website.
Meanwhile, Donoghue will also be involved in video content for the evoke-owned brand’s social media channels.
In other news, to round off Safer Gambling Week last week, William Hill leveraged its new title sponsorship of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) to spark gambling harm prevention talks among staff and supporters.
Players, fans and professionals from across all of the league’s four divisions were offered a series of talks that used previous experiences of problem gambling to raise awareness about the signs and measures on how to control their own relationship with gambling.
