William Hill details retail focus for World Cup promotion

William Hill has outlined it’s placing a key focus on its retail offering throughout this summer’s World Cup, building on the popularity of customer football tournaments, with the unveiling of its Perfect Hat Trick Competition coupon.

As part of the coupon, which is given out to customers when they place £5 World Cup bet, players are challenged to correctly predict the exact number of goals, cards and corners in each of the three selected matches for the chance to win £250,000 every day. The prize will increase throughout the tournament building to £1 million for the Semi-Finals and Final.

Danielle Fenton William Hill Retail Marketing Manager commented: “We wanted to create an atmosphere in-shop that really captures the excitement of the tournament in the lead up to and for the duration of the World Cup.”

Additionally, every player who places one of the Perfect Hat Trick coupons will go into a daily prize draw to win £5,000. The prize draw will happen every match day and will be broadcast across the 2,350 strong retail estate. The draw promises to feature many William Hill ambassadors including Robbie Savage, who’s announcing the winner.

The firm has also detailed how it’s looking to reward its online customers throughout football’s showpiece event, revealing that every day of the World Cup, Williamhill.com customers will be given a free scratch card, affording them three separate chances to win.
