Arena Racing Company (ARC) has agreed a global deal with Vermantia, shortlisted in four categories at the SBC awards 2017, for distribution of greyhound racing content from the UK and Australia.
Vermantia, the worldwide omni-channel content provider, will become ARC’s exclusive supplier to a range of international markets, and preferred worldwide partner for producing and delivering bespoke channels to retail operators.
Content is to be integrated into Vermantia’s connect platform, which comprises live video and racing data from over 4,500 greyhound fixtures across the UK and Australia, giving consumers betting opportunities on 120 live races per day.
Martin Cruddace, ARC Chief Executive, said: “Our cooperation with Vermantia is a landmark for ARC, in line with our strategy for expanding the reach of our proven and valued media rights.
“In Vermantia, we found both the international retail distribution experience, and the enabling content technologies necessary to rapidly and effectively rollout our premium greyhound content to the global markets.”
Vermantia Founder & Chief Executive, Filippos Antonopoulos, added: “We are excited to team up with ARC, a partnership based on our common belief that, a comprehensive schedule of premium live greyhound racing delivered with a fully customisable and enabling betting channel, can be a real revenue booster for any retail operator.
“Our combined offering is simply the best of its kind worldwide, and we feel really privileged that ARC chose Vermantia as its trusted partner for their international markets.”
This follows news that ARC has also agreed a long term media rights partnership with Australian wagering and gaming company Tabcorp.
As part of the agreement, which commences in January 2018, Tabcorp is to distribute ARC’s UK greyhound racing on it’s Sky Racing service in Australia, in addition to offering betting on the events.
ARC will distribute greyhound and horse racing content from Sky Racing Australia for the online and retail markets of various European territories.
Brett Gorman, Tabcorp General Manager of International, commented: “We are delighted to agree this deal with ARC.
“We see this as an important strategic development involving two international media rights holders in a growing and competitive marketplace.
“Both ARC’s greyhound offering, and our own horse racing and greyhound racing, are long-established and well-proven products. We look forward to a long and successful relationship.”
