The Queen to back Brexit is at 100/1 with Ladbrokes

Stories have been circulating in the tabloids that the Queen is in favour of a Leave vote in the forthcoming EU Referendum in June.

Ladbrokes has responded to the rumours by offering odds of 100/1 that Queen Elizabeth will publicly announce her backing of the Boris Johnson fronted Leave campaign.

Buckingham Palace also moved quickly to respond to the allegations, which The Sun ran under the headline ‘Queen backs Brexit.’ A statement from the palace read: “The Queen remains politically neutral, as she has for 63 years. We would never comment on spurious, anonymously sourced claims. The referendum will be a matter for the British people.”

Head of Political Betting at Ladbrokes Matthew Shaddick said: “Punters are so far unmoved by this news and, unless we start to see some big bets from the Windsor area, we’re keeping Remain as the favourite.”

A vote to leave is currently priced at 9/4 with Ladbrokes with the David Cameron backed Remain campaign expected to win the day.
