Betting technology supplier OPTIMA has recruited well known industry personality Jamie Maskey as Commercial Director. In his new role, Maskey will concentrate on developing new business opportunities for all areas of the Optima portfolio based on the OPTIMA MGS Suite.
MGS is a multichannel, web, mobile, retail and call centre sports betting and e-gaming product suite which integrates the most advanced and new technologies in the market and one of the most comprehensive supplier network in the industry. OPTIMA MGS also incorporates the respected sports betting platform MarginMaker 2 (MM2) for which OPTIMA acquired world wide rights from GTECH in summer 2014.
Maskey was previously at Finsoft, which originally developed MM2, said: “I am delighted to be working with Jacob and the Optima team. The improvements that they have made to the MM2 product that I was familiar with are quite amazing. We also have a whole range of new products part of the OPTIMA MGS suite, to help our existing and potential customers. I look forward to talking with old friends and making new ones as well.”
Jacob Lopez Curciel, CEO of OPTIMA, said: “We are very happy and enthusiastic in welcoming Jamie to OPTIMA as the person to be developing the commercial and sales areas in our organisation moving forward. It was a key strategic decision bringing a professional with his industry knowledge and experience to expand our senior management team.
“We have been looking for an individual that was able to adequately understand our product and that will be able to develop the commercial strategy of the organisation within the OPTIMA vision and philosophy. With Jamie, the main boxes have been ticked and we expect to continue growing at a minimum of double digit rate this year after we have reached triple digit growth last year.”
Maskey added: “We shall be at ICE on Stand N1-480 where we will be demonstrating our portfolio and where we will be introducing new major products that will be available to our customers immediately, like Hermes, the new auto trading, derivatives based pricing engine, Poseidon, the new internet messaging system developed by OPTIMA, and iSHOP v2, the new version of the innovative retail channel which after only one year from its market launch by OPTIMA, is bringing major improvements to the customer journey in the bricks and mortar business, leveraging new revenue streams for the bookmakers immediately.”
