Lotto operator Camelot has confirmed that the holder of one of the winning tickets has still not come forward to claim their £33 million prize.
The rollover Lotto prize was split between the two tickets who matches all six winning numbers – 26, 27, 46, 47, 52 and 58. A spokesman has confirmed: “Someone out there still doesn’t realise they have won.”
They are urging all players to check their tickets once more, and join a lucky couple from the Scottish borders, who are expected to go public today. The prize winners have up to 180 days after the date of the draw to come forward and claim the prize.
A Lotto statement read: “A couple from the Scottish Borders are celebrating today after winning one half of last weekend’s incredible £66 million Lotto jackpot. The husband and wife are celebrating a with a life changing cheque for £33,035,323 and plan to take early retirement to enjoy their winnings.”
The jackpot in Saturday’s Lotto, the biggest figure since it started 21 years ago, was the result of 14 rollovers. Lotto rules stipulate that the jackpot can only roll until it reaches or exceeds £50 million. If it is still not won, it rolls over one more time until the next draw.
