Ladbrokes appoints Sly Bailey & David Martin as board advisors

Ladbrokes Plc has announced the appointment of Sly Bailey and David Martin as members of its Board Committees. Both appointments are effective as of 25 September.

The appointments will see Sly Bailey named a member of Ladbrokes Social Responsibility committee and David Martin as advisor to the Audit Committee.

Both new committee members have served as non-executive directors at Ladbrokes.

Sly Bailey who will be advising Ladbrokes on media relations and corporate reputation and public matters, has served as former Chief Executive of Trinity (2006 -2012). Bailey has held further senior executive management roles at IPC Media and EMI Plc.

Advising the Ladbrokes Audit Committee, David Martin has served as CEO of Arriva transport since 2006, having been Deputy Chief Executive and Group Managing Director of International from 2005

The appointment of David Martin  to Ladbrokes’ Board Committees come just a day after Darren Shapland officially retired from the Board after six years in the role of a non-executive director, five of which he was Chair of the Audit Committee
