According to a report on industry news portal Gaming Intelligence, Sportech will provide Hawthorne with a totalisator and related services over a ten-year period, as well as a full suite of digital and land-based betting products. These include the G4 internet wagering solution, Digital Link mobile suite, and the new Sportech Kiosk – a self-service account set-up, funding and cashing product.
Hawthorne become Sportech’s first North American customer to take delivery of the self-service wagering terminals.
The products are described by Sportech as “the most cutting-edge products” for pari-mutuel wagering, which the operator says demonstrates its commitment to innovation and offering a “winning” customer experience.
Key to this is the roll-out of the Digital Link mobile suite, which comes with patented digital voucher functionality, offering “exceptional” customer service and convenience while reducing the use of paper tickets for on-track wagering.
Hawthorne Race Course president and general manager Tim Carey commented that the track had a decade-long relationship with Sportech, adding that he was very impressed with the new technologies that Sportech can offer.
“We look to expand distribution of our account wagering services with the new Sportech Kiosk, and to deliver a better wagering experience for our players with the Digital Link mobile suite and the next generation self-service terminals,” Carey added.
