Betway expands ‘ever-growing commitment’ to tennis

Betway has signed a sponsorship arrangement with the Hamburg Open tennis tournament, in a deal which the bookmaker says is indicative of its ‘ever-growing commitment’ to the sport.

The Malta-based operator will take advantage of courtside and digital marketing and branding exposure at the Rothenbaum Tennis Centre-held event between 7 and 18 July.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Hamburg Open as we become their Official Betting Partner,” said Anthony Workman, CEO of Betway.

“The tournament is a highlight of the summer clay circuit and we’re looking forward to seeing the Betway brand at the Rothenbaum Tennis Centre.”

The Hamburg open joins a range of other tournaments in Betway’s extensive portfolio of tennis sponsorship partners, with Sweden’s oldest and most popular ATP event, the Nordea Open, the most recent addition

Other notable competitions to have signed Betway on as an official betting partner include the Miami Open, Noventi Open and the Mercedes Cup.

Sandra Reichel, Tournament Director of the Hamburg Open, commented: “We’re delighted to announce this partnership, especially in these unusual times, and I think it’s tremendous that they’re sponsoring the overall event in both the women’s and men’s tournament weeks.

“Besides being highly respected in its industry, Betway shares our commitment to creating a safe environment for customers. This was important to us when choosing a partner.”
