Online sports betting operator 10Bet has joined forces with West Bromwich Albion, after being confirmed as the EFL (English Football League) Championship club’s official betting partner.
As part of the new deal 10Bet’s new visual identity is to be prominently displayed across the West Midlands side’s kit throughout the 2018/19 season, taking pride of place on the back of the famous blue and white stripes, whilst fans are to also be provided “with a range of unique betting opportunities”.
Simon King, WBA’s Chief Commercial Officer, added: “10Bet are a company with big ambitions and like Albion are aiming for a successful year.
“Their new visual identity is very powerful and we are proud to showcase it on the famous Albion kit for the new season. We believe we are the perfect partner to help grow their brand and we look forward to building a fantastic partnership.”
This follows a deal announced last week alongside Blackburn Rovers, which saw the firm become a principal partner of the club, as part of its aggressive expansion strategy in the UK market.
Under the terms of this deal 10Bet will feature as front of shirt sponsor on home and away strips, around the club’s Ewood Park home ground, on the front cover of each matchday programme and also on the official Blackburn Rovers website.
Daniel Corcos, Marketing Director of 10Bet, said: “As the official betting partner of West Bromwich Albion, we are committed to building a strong relationship with the team and its loyal, passionate fanbase.
“Albion is a club steeped in tradition and history and we’re proud to back the Baggies’ campaign to reclaim Premier League status and to seeing our new visual identity on their new kit.”
Last season West Brom’s eight year stay in the English top flight came to an end, as they finished bottom of the Premier League with 31 points.
