Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a new two-year sponsorship deal, the largest of its kind in the clubs history, with W88, who are to feature on the front of shirt in Wolves‘ return to the English top flight.
In addition, the online gaming firm are to also prominently feature upon full range of training wear, to be released alongside the new home kit this month, in addition to also hosting “mutually beneficial activations throughout the partnership”.
Hilly Ehrlich, Business Development Manager of W88, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to partner Wolves, a respected football club with a rich sporting heritage that has helped to shape modern football today.
“This partnership is a major step for us in expanding our global footprint and we look forward to working with the club to engage the fans and supporters of Wolves, both in the UK and worldwide.”
W88, who detail sports betting, live dealer casino, poker and slots as part of its offering, will not be featured on products designed for supporters under the age of 18.
The University of Wolverhampton continues to sponsor academy shirts, while IT consultancy firm Silverbug has been brought on board as junior kit sponsor.
Laurie Dalrymple, Wolves Managing Director, added: “Wolves has always been a real family club, and as such we take our responsibilities towards young people and young supporters very seriously.
“With this in mind, we have agreed an additional partnership with another company that will feature on all junior kit.”
Across the midlands at St Andrew’s, Birmingham City and 888sport have agreed to extend their ongoing partnership, “following two successful seasons together”.
Once again adorning home and away shirts whilst also planning a number of rewarding campaigns, 888sport is aiming to “further establish themselves as more than just a logo on the shirt”.
Guy Cohen, Senior Vice President and Head of B2C at 888 Holdings, added: “We are absolutely delighted to be continuing our relationship with Birmingham City Football Club for a third successive year.
“Being in partnership with a club renowned for its dedicated and passionate support gives us the opportunity to engage with real football fans, and it is our aim to keep them at the heart of all our activity.
“Last year, we put on free away coaches and gave hundreds of fans the chance to experience the St Andrew’s atmosphere through ticket giveaways and our popular Fan888 competitions. Next year, we’re focused on bringing Bluenoses even closer to the club with a truly ‘fan-first’ approach. Keep right on.”
