Fantasy sports operator DraftKings has announced its first statement of intent for the UK market, by confirming that it has sealed an exclusive three-year relationship with the NFL’s International Series in the United Kingdom.
The DraftKings brand will be promoted throughout NFL International Series games, which will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium. Season 2015/16 matches taking place in London include: New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins on Sunday, October 4; Buffalo Bills vs. Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 25; and Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, November 1.
Furthermore DraftKings UK announced that it will host events outside of Wembley Stadium prior to all three games at the NFL International Tailgate Party, with additional events at Trafalgar Square on Saturday, October 3 and on Regent Street on Saturday, October 24.
“The response to DraftKings’ upcoming ‘British invasion’ has been outstanding, and we are thrilled to introduce our product soon to fans in the United Kingdom,” added DraftKings Chief International Officer Jeffrey Haas. “This relationship with the NFL is just a taste of what’s to come!”
DraftKings further confirmed that they would be advertising during the broadcast of NFL games on Sky Sports.
