GamCare expands leadership team with frontline appointments 

GamCare has expanded its executive leadership team to enhance the management of its problem gambling treatment support network and cooperation with wider national stakeholders. 

The charity has confirmed the promotion of Rachel (Ray) Hassan to the position of Director of Quality and Innovation, ensuring that GamCare continues to deliver the strategic objectives of its nationwide programmes.

Hassan’s promotion follows her work as a member of the senior management team, helping GamCare re-develop and implement its Quality Management Framework to set the highest standards of excellence across UK gambling treatment system.

GamCare further expands its leadership team, promoting Fiona MacLeod to the position of Clinical & Communities Director.

Since 2019, MacLeod has led GamCare’s national helpline and digital services, ensuring that the organisation’s treatment support provisions are immediately available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for persons and victims affected by gambling harms.

In her new role, MacLeod will lead the strategic commissioning of GamCare’s treatment support programmes and specialised outreach developed for local communities tackling gambling harms.

GamCare underlined the extensive and diverse experience of both new executives, that have worked in the frontline of addiction across multiple healthcare disciplines.
