Scientific Games Corporation has strengthened its network of partnerships after securing new agreements with both 888 Casino and Betsson.
Under the terms of its agreement with 888, Scientific Games will launch more than 120 games in Spain via its Open Gaming System (OGS) platform.
Dylan Slaney, SVP Casino at SG Digital, said: “888 is a huge player in the Spanish iGaming market, and we’re thrilled to offer our content to their players. It will increase our presence in the market and give players a top-notch iGaming experience backed by the reliability and scalability of our OpenGaming platform.”
888’s games portfolio in Spain now features titles from Scientific Games’ in-house studios and 3rd-party partner such as Merlin’s Millions, Superbet, Gorilla Go Wilder, and Zeus 2.
Guy Cohen, SVP of B2C at 888, added: “At 888, we are focused on providing our customers the most enjoyable gaming experience. Through our partnership with Scientific Games we can now offer our Spanish customers an additional 120 games to our platform with more games to come. We look forward to building on our relationship with Scientific Games and delivering for our customers.”
Under its OpenGaming brand, Scientific Games has teamed up with Betsson to launch a syndicated jackpots product for the online casino market.
The syndicated jackpot feature will allow ‘groups of people to win together’ within a slot game. Players are able to join others to collectively win a percentage of a larger jackpot, allowing for more accessibility and introducing a community gaming component.
Phil Lam, Head of Gaming at Betsson, explained: “Social gaming is set to become an important aspect of online casinos in the coming year. We’ve been very impressed with Scientific Games’ new Mega Drop Quest syndicated jackpot, which is sure to create a fun and engaging experience for groups of players, as they look to win big prizes together. We’re proud to be the first to launch this exciting concept.”
Betsson is the first Scientific Games iGaming partner to launch with the feature, which will be available across the OGS network this month. The initial network-wide launch will debut in Europe, with additional global territory release dates to be announced.
Slaney continued: “It is important that we as suppliers embrace syndicates and help build solutions that simplify community games to make them accessible and enjoyable for all players.
“This has been one of the greatest challenges our team has undertaken, and we feel that we have risen to the occasion, creating a value proposition that goes well beyond a ‘big win’. We are proud to have delivered a product that supports the community vision of our platform and are thrilled to partner with Betsson for this first release to market.”
