Following a two year hiatus, GVC Holdings’ subsidiary partypoker has confirmed that it will re-enter the Czech Republic online gambling marketplace in partnership with local casino operator King’s Resort Rozvadov.

The licence, granted by the Czech Ministry of Finance, sees partypoker become the second international operator to gain an online gambling licence in the country, allowing it to operate its flagship online poker services.

Tom Waters, Managing Director of partypoker, said: “We are delighted to be working with King’s Resort to offer online poker in the Czech Republic.

“We have some ambitious and exciting plans for 2019 in partnership with King’s and there will be plenty on offer for Czech players.

“We are currently in the final stages of completing the technical set up and look forward to announcing further launch promotions and events and full details of our product offering in the coming weeks.”

Updating the market, partypoker confirms that it will operate its Czech services under the domain of partypoker.cz, with Kings Resort as its lead operations and marketing partner – a requirement needed by Czech laws.

Leon Tsoukernik, owner of King’s Resort, added: “It is a great honour to co-operate on such an interesting project with such an important partner on a global level for us.

“We will be able to offer players great connection between the online and live game to maximise their gaming experience.

“King’s Resort is already a major player in the poker world, hosting Europe’s largest live poker room, and this is a further big step forward in our commitment to players.”
