IP/domain seller and database resource WhoIS has reported that Curacao and Malta licensed bookmaker Pinnacle Sports has acquired control of premium generic domain ‘Pinnacle.com’.
The domain was acquired from Phoenix-based electronic components manufacturer Avnet EMG for an undisclosed sum.
At present Pinnacle Sports governance has not confirmed the purchase or its strategic plan for the domain ‘Pinnacle.com’. However, the domain purchase will likely see the bookmaker merge all of its existing online assets under the ‘Pinnacle.com’ brand.
Under the new ownership of private investor Magnus Hedman (Touchbet Ltd), who acquired the low limit specialist bookmaker in March 2015, Pinnacle Sports is in the process of re-launching its European sports betting services.
Pinnacle Sports was granted a Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) Class 2 gambling license in April 2015, allowing for the bookmaker to expand its services and operations within regulated European betting markets.
