Punters looking to gain an edge in their betting over international week would be well advised to go for the shorter priced favourites as qualifying for the 2016 Euro Championships approaches its end game.
Data from bettingexpert.com, the European-wide online tipster network which covers 10 different languages, showed that the average value of winning tips in the last round of qualifying was 2.07, suggesting that the fancied teams are making sure there are no shocks in their bid to reach France.
In comparison a losing tip over the last round of games featured odds of 4.20, meaning that those hoping for an unlikely outcome for a greater return were less likely to get anything back.
Bettingexpert’s Gavin Moore commented:
“It’s a key week for qualifying for Euro 2016 with many countries all over the continent still in with a shout at reaching the newly expanded tournament. Where the bettingexpert.com network comes into play is that fact it has a wide spread of experts in 10 different languages with intimate knowledge of their national sides, meaning that any bettingexpert users can instantly get access to that insight for free.”
Bookmakers will also have to do something special to dislodge bet365 from the top of the tree. The Stoke-based operator was by far the most popular bookie for bettingexpert’s tipster community with Unibet a distant second and 188bet even further back in third.
