Sky Betting and Gaming (Sky Bet) has confirmed the hire of Paddy Power Head of External Affairs Adam Smith, as the operators new Head of Corporate Communications.
Smith is set to join the Sky Bet team in July, and will lead the operators corporate communication strategy and the company’s relationships with political, regulatory and media stakeholders.
Smith who joins from competitor Paddy Power, where he acted as Head of External Affairs (2013 -2015) will report to Sky Bet Marketing Director Rob Painter, and will work closely with the operators governance.
Smith has a political communications background having worked for as a as a Parliamentary researcher and as a Special Adviser at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (2010 – 2012).
Commenting on the appointment Sky Bet Marketing Director Rob Painter said;
